Museveni appoints female V-P, PM and keeps wife and son into cabinet

KAMPALA, Uganda

President of  Uganda, Yoweri Museveni has appointed Jessica Alupo as Vice President of the Republic of Uganda maintaining his wife, Janet Museveni in the cabinet as Minister of Education and  Sports.

In the new appointments, Museveni named his son, General David Muhoozi who has been the Chief of Defence Forces as the new State Minister for Internal Affairs.

According to the cabinet list released by President Museveni on Tuesday evening, Gen Muhoozi will now replace Mario Kania Obiga who has served in the position for five years. 

President also named, Robinah Nabbanja as the Prime Minister.
