ANGOLA BEAT GAMBIA AS COMOROS HOLD TOGO

Two 2022 Fifa World Cup qualification (CAF) first-round first-leg matches were played on Friday.
Togo were held to a 1-1 stalemate by a stubborn Comoros side in an encounter which was played at the Stade de Moroni in Moroni.
Laba Kodjo Fodoh handed Togo the lead in the first-half and the Sparrow Hawks were leading 1-0 at the interval.
However, debutant Ibroihim Djoudja grabbed a goal to level matters for Comoros' Les Coelacantes four minutes after the restart.
The two teams then searched for the winning goal, but it never came and ultimately, the match ended in a 1-1 stalemate.
The second-leg match is scheduled to be played at the Stade de Kégué in Lome on Tuesday.
Lastly, Angola secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over the Gambia in a match which took place at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The only goal was the game was scored in the 31st minute and it was Wilson, who hit the back of the net for Palancas Negras.
The Scorpians searched for the equalising goal, but they could not find the back of the net and they were beaten 1-0 on the night.
The second-leg encounter is set to take place at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in Luanda on Tuesday.
