WEMBLEY, UK
More than 60,000 fans will attend the semi-finals and final of Euro 2020 at Wembley, this following talks between the United Kingdom government and UEFA.
Sky News reports that an agreement has been reached between the UK government and UEFA to increase the attendance at Wembley to 75% capacity for the climax of this summer’s pan-European staging of the Euros.
"This tournament has been a beacon of hope to reassure people that we are returning to a more normal way of life and this is a further step along that road.” UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin said.
"I am grateful to the Prime Minister and the UK government for their hard work in finalizing these arrangements with us, to make the tournament final stages a great success in Wembley.” He added.
Culture Secretary Oliver Dowden said: “The finals promise to be an unforgettable moment in our national recovery from the pandemic.”
The semi-finals will take place on July 6 and 7, while the final Euro 2020 match will be played on July 11.
