The Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) journalist, Joachim Kapembe, died yesterday while descending Mount Kilimanjaro.

The inauguration trip was led by the Minister for Information, Communications, and Information Technology, Nape Nnauye.
The government spokesperson, Gerson Msigwa, who was also on the trip said that the journalist died from bicycle accident between Kibo and Horombo camps.
"Kapembe was among climbers who successfully reached the peak of mount Kilimanjaro without mountain sickness." Msigwa said.
Kapembe was born on February 26, 1977, in Muheza, Tanga.
He joined TBC in 2011 as photographer.
