Clement Mzize, striker for Yanga Sports Club of Tanzania, has won the award for the best goal of the year at the CAF Awards 2025.
Mzize scored the goal at the Mkapa Stadium in a game against TP Mazembe.
On the night of the awards held in Morocco, Mzize was represented by the President of Yanga SC, Engineer Hersi Said.
The main reason for the striker's inability to attend the awards night was the advice of a panel of doctors who advised him not to walk long distances due to the surgery he had undergone.
Thus, the award for the best goal at the CAF Awards 2025 went to Tanzania.
In addition to Mzize, player Fiston Mayele who once played for Yanga SC has won the award for the Best Player of the Year in African Club Competitions (Men's Interclub Player of the Year)
