NAIROBI, Kenya
Individuals contesting for Kenya's presidency in the August polls as independent candidates had until Monday, May 2, to submit clearance from the Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP).
The ORPP has confirmed that so far, 47 people have been cleared to contest for the presidency as independent candidates.
Kenya's Citizen Digital has obtained the complete list of the candidates planning to challenge the party presidential flag-bearers on August 9. They include;
